The transport landscape in the Paris region has just undergone a minor revolution with the inauguration of the first urban cable car in Île-de-France, and the longest in Europe! With its 105 cabins, Câble C1 embodies a bold vision of urban mobility, combining performance, accessibility and respect for the environment. And to make the passenger experience even smoother, Lumiplan has equipped each cabin with multimedia screens.

A visionary project for smarter mobility
Inspired by ski resort cable car, the Câble C1 offers an innovative alternative to traditional modes of transport.
- A 4.5 km line connecting 5 stations and flying over 4 municipalities in Val-de-Marne
- 18-minute journey, compared to over 40 minutes by bus
- Frequency comparable to the underground: one cabin every 20 to 30 seconds
This project, led by Île-de-France Mobilités, marks a turning point in the transition to faster, more accessible and more sustainable public transport.
Innovation at the service of passengers
Beyond its technical prowess, the C1 Cable Car places the user experience at the heart of its design. Lumiplan has installed multimedia screens in each of the 105 cabins, allowing passengers to:
Access practical information and connections
Receive alerts in the event of incidents or disruptions
These solutions help to make the journey simpler, more enjoyable and more connected.

Why is this a major advance?
Time savings: journey time halved
Improved accessibility: an alternative to poorly served areas
Positive environmental impact: reduction in emissions from motorised travel
With the C1 Cable Car, Île-de-France Mobilités and its partners are paving the way for smarter and more sustainable urban mobility. Lumiplan is proud to contribute its expertise to inform and support passengers in this new experience.

The key players in mobility and public transport met in Paris from June 7 to 9 at the European Mobility Expo. Lumiplan was there to present its solutions and latest innovations in passenger information.
